  6. This is an update of xDM V1.2, with VERY important improvements, like:
  7.  
  8. - option to check BAM before packing (to clear unused blocks)
  9. - autodetected support for several filesystems (including MS-DOS!!)
  10. - much faster decompression (for xDM V1.3 archives only, though)
  11. - backwards compatible with xDM 1.0 till 1.2
  12. - comprehensive & extensive Amigaguide docs
  13.  
  14. Requirements (NOT included in this archive):
  15. - Workbench 3.0+
  16. - LZX 1.00+                                  (check Aminet: util/arc)
  17. - 2MB RAM & harddisk or simply 4 MB RAM
  18. - MFS (only needed if other filesys are used)(check Aminet: disk/misc)
  19.  
  20. Machines tested on: A4000/040/10 using LZX 1.20e & OS 3.1
  21.                     A1200/020/4 using LZX 1.10e & OS 3.0

  23. Results: 10-25% gain over DMS archives (sometimes even more!), not
  24.          talking about the flexibility & speed (This really kicks ass!)
